Congratulations to Toni Bunton!

Toni Bunton's memoir, A Tree Grows In Prison, will be published next Spring by Beacon Press. 

At the age of 17 Toni was convicted of second-degree murder for her role as the driver in a drug deal that ended in a fatal shooting. She would serve more than 16 years of her sentence before it was commuted, and she was released in 2008. Toni's memoir is the remarkable and heart-wrenching story of the world inside women's prison, where holding on to your sense of self is the hardest challenge an inmate faces.
